Dale Earnhardt Jr. still can't quite get it in gear. The most popular driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series had hoped to reverse his record at the Fontana track Sunday after his second-place finish in the season-opening Daytona 500. But after starting 27th on the 43-car grid for the Auto Club 500 and climbing to 21st early in the race, Earnhardt was penalized for speeding on pit road, dropping him deep into the field.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. penalized for speed in pit, slows to 32nd place finish

The season started out with great hope .Jr.came in second ,Jammie won the 500 and Danica did better than most expected.

Race #2 things couldn't get worse for the fans .;shrug

I think everyone thought Danica would be a winner but....

I think a lot of people thought she would finish in the top ten every week and it's going to take a year of seat time to get up to a few top 20 finishes .

50% of the fans are Jr. fans and they had high hopes for him this year .Daytona made a lot of people perk up a little .

And as far as JJ is concerned he has a great team and thats fantastic except for the fans .Who wants to watch a baseball game when one team virtually wins every game and will in the future .Thats was what so exciting about Jammie winning the 500 .It makes it hard for the smaller teams to get sponsors and the fans become distraught.

OVB - If y'all would call off your nationwide boycott I'm pretty sure things would improve immensely! :rotfl
