Delco Freedom Ii Battery Topper

Since nobody makes a reproduction Freedom II or a topper, I decided to make my own. Attached are in progress pictures. I used an old JC Penny battery top, filled in the imperfections, painted it and added stickers:

Found the stickers on eBay. They are very high quality.

Looks great! But did you just put it on top of the battery or did you cut the top of your current battery and fabricated this to it?

It is just a topper held in place with velcro. This way it is re-useable as I buy new batteries and does not affect the battery warranty.
