What is the correct finish/color for the rear "jackpot" carrier housing and strut rods? Black?, Natural?

Depends on the year....assuming that it´s 1967 like told in your avatar it should be natural.

Checkout through "search" how this could be achieved by using certain paint applications.

Both the differential housing/case (if that's what you are referring to) and the strut rods were natural.

Most guys that actually drive their cars, spray them with a coat of satin clearcoat, or "cast blast" paint.
