It took about 40 years, but as of last weekend I'm a Corvette owner at last. I've been having a good time playing with V-8 Fieros for a few years now, but just recently fell into a sweet deal on a 92 LT-1 coupe and may have found a new addiction LOL.
The car needs new weather seals on the front and rear of the window, as well as new dew wipes on the outside of the windows. From cursory examination it appears that these are riveted to the door skin. is this correct? will window removal be necessary to access the rivets? any pointers appreciated.

:w Hello and welcome to the Corvette Action Center.....as for the windows, they donot have to come out....its not a job I like to do everyday, but I did replace mine on the C-4 as that is some of the rubber that leaves first and what part that is still there will be hard and brittle......I ordered mine thru Mid-America and took care of it in an afternoon.....you will just have to drill them out.......take your time and you should do well......:D

Welcome MrPbody. I must ditto what darllawman said, I did my 90 a little over a month ago. had to drill out the rivites. go easy should not be a problem. watch out for that brittle old rubber, it can stick under fingernails and hurt like the devil! Good luck:w

Excellent. thanks for the link!

Looks like a simple job, but it's always best to find out about any gotchas before one dives into untested waters. ;)

Cheers,
Pbody
