Question: Diagnostic port location

Exactly where is the diagnostic port location on a 1993 Corvette ? Under dash just to right of steering wheel ? I can't find this thing anywhere ????

That's where it should be, now for reality. Someone could have unscrewed it from the dash, moved it or cut it out - who knows?
Pull the hush panel and start looking for it, no telling where it could be.

Well I hope that's not the case ! Should it be in plain sight as it is on all other cars ? Cause this one is no where to be found ? Had a brief service engine light that came on today and wanted to check it

That sucks. AFAIK, every diag port should be to the right on the bottom of the dash right by the trans hump on the drivers side. The only reason I mentioned it could have been cut out was someone had a butchered car the PO had done just that. Hopefully they weren't that bad but you never know. If it's not bolted to the bottom of the dash then it's detective time.

I don't think there's alot of extra wire on it, so if it was just unbolted it should be too far out of place. Maybe fastened up to some of the wiring under the dash?

Port was buried up under dash . now back where it should have been

Well done on finding the diag port, it will make your life easier if it's where it should be.

Yep found it , mounted it , tested it and quickly found a code 32 .
