Anyone out there had any experience with a product called Diamond Gloss? Supposed to eliminate waxing and protect the paint. According to the car salesman, it needs to be "renewed" every three years at an additional cost. I am pretty skeptical, but thought I would ask.

Oh, in case you were wondering it's for a machine silver/red coupe that's supposed to be built this week.

Any information anyone has is appreciated. Thanks!

Any dealer that trys to sell you any type of finish IS giving you the old hard SHAFT!!! NEVER

I have never heard of Diamond Gloss but it is probably like the product that
Simoniz sells through the dealers called System 5 . It looks great on the cars I have seen it used on. http://www.simonizusa.com/default.asp It is a two part item that is mixed before using. They also have System 5 interior protection. I don't know how much it costs.

Yes it is another way for the dealer to make money on you. But if you don't like to wax your car or don't have the time and it doesn't cost too much and it works. Why not? It is also insured.

I use mostly Meguiar's products myself. I like to wash an wax my Corvette.

A guy owns a vette and would let others keep it sharp? NO WAY! Love it and Zaino it.

Yes and just think ....It was professionally applied by a 16 year old kid working in the car wash bay at the dealership.

I will never again buy a vette that I have not seen with the wrapping on it.....and then it will never leave my site.

Just traded my Milenium Yellow 00' for a C6. NEVER waxed the 00'. Looked great when traded...had 49K miles. Was garaged though. Waxing lasts a couple of months and then you have to do it again. Try not waxing it for a year and see what it looks like.
