Can anyone help me with these two codes?-bo361c-28toc-c1214c:confusedthanks in advance!

Now that you know to what device the codes relate, you need the Factory Service Manual for an 02. In it you'll find the diagnostic and repair instructions for each of those codes. Also in those books will be the wiring diagrams, which you will need as codes are more often set by problems with wiring and connections than they are by actuators.

You can get the FSM from CAC sponsor Zip Products.

Thanks Hib-code c1214-sol.valve relay contact open?great!what the h--- is that?code bo361 something with the HVAC My heater and a/c work fine! Can I drive my car ok with these, other than staring at a check eng.lite?;shrug

It's not "bo361" it's "B0361" and, as you know, it's a fault in the HVAC.

The C1214 is a fault in the traction control system, probbly in the modulator valve assembly.

Interestingly, you say the "check engine" light is on, yet the two faults are unrelated to the engine controller. I'm puzzled by this..."-28toc-" in the string of DTCs. That's a current code of some kind but it needs to be one letter followed by four numbers, for example, the code for random misfire "P0300C". Can you get the codes again and copy what you see on the IP display carefully. I'm gonna bet that the "-28toc" is an ECM code of some kind.

As for whether or not you can drive the car with those codes set...I don't have enough information to comment on that to answer conclusively. My guess is that the B0361 is not a big problem as far as driving the car. On the other hand the C1214 might be because it affects traction control.

Have you ever seen the service traction contol message?

cleared the codes, check eng.lite is off,abs traction control lites on

That means the ABS/TCS has a current fault...probably that C1214. When that light is on, antilock braking and traction control will be disabled and there also may be lower speed limiter setting, but I'm not sure.

If you're an advanced DIY with a scan tester and an FSM, you probably can solve the fault on your own. If you're not familiar with ABS/TCS diagnostics and/or don't have a scanner, you may want to considre taking the car to a service facility experienced with such problems.

Just an FYI, the entire list of DIC codes has been here at the CAC's Knowledgebase for quite a while now:

Just click on the generation range you want and go to the Electrical and Ignition category.

Thanks Hib-your the best!My vette runs fine,no limit on speed just those pesky abs trac.lites on checked grounds -clean and tight.
