Hope everyones having a good Turkey Day today!
I have a quick question that my buddy and I can't seem to figure out.He brought in pics of Vettes going on the auction block soon and they had a 59 and a 60 on there.
I can't seem to find any difference in these 2 years but suppose there probably is something different.
I anybody knows could you tell me what it is as we have a small wager on this.
Thanks,
Tim

From my research the main differences are:

Seat covers have different patterns
The aluminum dash insert, the 60 has the blue and red bars
In 60 they added a rear stabilizer bar.
The hood pins and plates are different.. In 60 they changed to the larger version
In 60 the rims should be painted the same color as the body.

This is what i was able to find.. so far.. Hope you win the bet..

The body is virtually the same and impossible to tell from the outside..

The stitched seams on the '60 seatbacks are vertical while the '59's are horizontal. I think the '60 also has a stronger rear stabilizer bar too if memory serves me correctly.

Also most '59s had the Daytona weave carpet like the '58 and earlier. Cosmetic differences are the carpet and the above mentioned dash insert and seat pattern. '59 was the only year for the strut rods on the rear axle without a sway bar. '58 had neither and '60 introduced the sway bar.

A picture just showing the outside of the car with wheel covers on will show no differences except for the thin strip of wheel color outside of the wheel cover.
