Difficult to Shift from 1st to 2nd Gear - Manual Transmission

I have a 1996 CE LT4 (manual trans.) and at times its like the car does not want me shifting from 1st gear to 2nd. Doesn't happen all of the time. It feels like its hitting resistance leaving first. I have to push the shifter over to the right and then back to 2nd gear. I do not have this issue shifting from any other gears nor is this an issue when shifting back into 1st gear. Only from 1st to 2nd.

Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be?

C4 Tech/Performance - 1996 LT4 CAGS Eliminator Problem - I put a CAGS eliminator from Mid America Vette in my '96 LT-4. I've run into cases where the skip shift is still operative. What did I do wrong/what happened? Thanks. Larry

Mine is still connected & the light still works. The 1st to 4th doesn't bother me.
