Digital Dash half dim

My 87 with a digital dash only has half brightness on the right side. The right half with the tac, oil pressure, and fuel use is quite dim, the left half is fine, I'd say the right side is about half the brightness of the left side. I had not run the car for several months this winter and put a charger on to recharge the battery. It was after this that the instrument panel right side went dim. Could be a coincidence. Does anyone have any ideas on this.

I would check the bulbs, ine did the same last yr. They say you can change them without removing cluster but your should change the bulb holder too. A partial disassembly of the cluster is required. Look here
