Disapointed in my 2001 performance.

My friends WS6 ran a 13.5 and my other friends SS ran 13.6s my best was 13.89 @104. I would have to say our tracks are very comparable. Most LS1s run low 14s or high 13s here. My car only has a Blackwing but Monday I am ordering a Predator and a 160 thermastat. I guess I was hopping for a faster car on my 2000 SS I got luckey and got a fast one, it ran 13.74 bone stock with only 5 or 6 hundred miles on it.

hello,it does sound like our tracks our very compairable. i was a little disappointed at our track the first time i went down(many years ago) because it cant be more than 30ft above sea level. but there is always higher humidity here, like florida and texas probably.i was talking with one of the local tuners,i wont mention the company,he agrees that your car should be just a little faster in all aspects.i cant believe others havent chimed in with any compairisons.in the road kill lounge, there is a couple of stories about f-body kills,one of them was able to out drive a stock one even though he left his traction control on. i dont know if this is a story telling lounge or kill lounge:L of coarse i only believe what i can see, but ill take there word . one thing i forgot, the tuner here (ill do my own thank you) said, the most common question among f-bodies is "what can i do to beat the c-5"?reply " change gears or add 50+horsepower: my buddys ws6 added 3:73,and 25 horse power and he was still a .1 behind me he did have 1 m.p.h. more than me,my car is lighter though i have since added the halltech t-1,as of friday night i now manage13.4 and am .3 tenths ahead again. i might get abigger throttle body and maybe the predator. let me know how it does for you.later Todd.
