For as long as I can remember, I have used distilled water in the cooling system. This along with anti-freeze. Since I have this wonderful collection of automotive knowledge at this forum, does anyone see a "downside" to using distilled water?
I am installing a "Performer" intake and I will replacing the cooling system fluids. Thought I would ask.

Thanks.

No downside that I know of other then, some will say, an unnecessary expense.

I use distilled water also,,,,if ya use tap or well water there are too many minerals, plus chlorine in the city water along with floride etc. At 99c a gal why sweat it!

My thoughts exactly.

Yeppers, only way to go. Why add water with who knows what in it if you can help it. :D
