I am in the process of redoing the interior in my 72. I want to "chunk" the C3 seats and install more comfort and looks. I have been looking at "racing" seats in JEGS and other publications. Has anyone ever made a swap like this? And, is it pretty straight forward. I think the C3 seats are the worst. Advice would be great.

I just purchased C5 seats from a 98 vette. Others have used C4 seats and I saw pics of someone using Fiero seats. I also have seen quite a few conversions to racing seats, so yes you can do it.

C5 seats here.

I put 80-82 style seats in my '77. They look sweet.

When it was time for me to redo my C3 seats, do you think I could find any frames anywhere? Nope. I had to pay the upholstery shop to weld the frames and straighten them before they could be recovered. You can also "chuck" those seats my way ;-)

1970 Stingray, What is the scoop on the seat belts. They are cool. Who makes them, and how did you mount them?

My racing harness is from Impact Racing. http://www.impactraceproducts.com/item.wws?sku=55341111 It's the new company Bill Simpson started.

I have the shoulder harness anchored via the Sharkbar from vetteworksonline.com For the lap belts I'm using the original anchor mounts in the floor and the tranny tunnel for now.

I am just about finished with my 76 interior. I opted for the A4's From Corbeau. I haven't bolted them in yet, but I just laid them in there and they look ok, definitely more comfortable.

you think the C3 seats are uncomfortable, so you want to get "racing" seats from Jegs? racing seats are about the most uncomfortable piles of crap i've ever sat in. I'd rather sit in my c3 seats all day. those "racing" seats belong in Honda, but that's just my honest opinion. I would do what some of the other guys did, and get some from a later model c4 or c5, those do look good!
