Left front tire air pressure senser does not show air pressure. However it will beep the horn when reprograming. Do you think I need a new one? Where is the least expensive place to get one? My chevy dealer wanted $159 for one.

I'm thinking that you need to replace the sensor. I did the left front on my 02 not long ago. The 99 uses an earlier sensor so I don't have the part number. If you can get the part number from your local dealer you can go online to GMpartsdirect.com and get it for about half the dealer cost. I'm thinking that the earlier version was a bit higher but $159 doesn't sound right. Also make certain that you have 97-00 wheels on your car, if you have changed them to the thin spoke 2001-2004 version then it is a different sensor.
