Are short plugs mandatory if you have headers?:confused I have an intermittent miss :cry that a friend suggested may be from interference between spark plugs and/or wires and my headers. Is Accel the only manufacturer of shorter plugs? Any help on this would be appreciated as I want to replace plugs and wires soon.

Fill a plant spray bottle with water and spay the hell out of them while the car is running...you'll know if it misses then and have your answer.

Thanks Chick...that's a good point....I like your 74'.....I wouldn't like it normally.......but since it has a motor to go with it's looks.....it makes her a very attractive piece of glass........

Thanks for the replies.

While changing spark plugs I found the problem. One particular plug is right up against a header tube and the boot was fried. I changed the boot and the miss is gone.:beer

Who knows how long it will last but it sure is great to know the source of the problem. Other than denting the header tube a little, I'm not sure what I can do to permanently fix it.

With the miss gone, she is flyin now!:Steer
