Do Summit Headers Fit?

Im looking to put some headers on the my Sweet Mama soon. My questoin is wether the Summit headers will fit on the 81'. The ones Im looking at are SUM-G9001.

Chevrolet: 1967-81 265-400, passenger cars, 1 5/8 in. primary tubes, 3 in. collectors, headers

I got my headers from TPiS, but I did get a lot of parts through Summit, and have never had a problem with returns or exchanges. You can always try them to see if they fit, and if not, send them back.

I don't know, but if they don't I got some Dynomac ceramic coated jobs ( 1 5/8", 3" collectors) & they fit really well. Summit also sell reducers with provision for an O2 sensor.
WARNING!!!! Check the clearance between the Headers & your starter motor as you may need to fit a starter heat shield. Shortly after fitting my Headers they burnt my starter motor out. This really isn't funny with an auto A new motor has given no problems whatsoever with a heat shield fitted (but there's very little room to get one in there, it's a fiddly job).

THanks for the heads up Paul I'll def take a look at that. I really dont want to have to order some and wing it from there. The manifolds that are on there are rusted to ****. Taking them off looks like its going to have to be for good. I was really hoping for a straight bolt on thing, Ken, w/o any altering and metal bending. Roadblocks make me lose my cool . The dynomax headers are $50 bucks more than the summit ones as well.
