Is there a source that can provide documentation concerning our cars (LT1)? Let me explain. My Ford (1970 Boss) has been documented by two outlets. Ford motor company has authorized Marti Co. in Arizona to provide a report on ones car up to a certain year. The report costs in area of $35 and is well worth it. Another is Lois Eminger, she has original carbons of the build sheets for certain years of Ford cars. I now have a wonderful paper trail for the Boss. Does anyone do this for Chevrolet? If my question is not clear then please have me explain it again in a different way. Regards, Mike.

No, unfortunately there is no easy way to get factory documentation for old Corvettes. Chevrolet kept no such records, at least none that anyone has located. If you're lucky, the tank sticker may still be with your car. Open the fuel lid, pull back the rubber boot, and shine a flashlight on the driver side top of the tank. There may be a sheet on top of the tank. If it is there and you can remove it, it contains all the options that came on the car. Be careful, the sticker is difficult to remove and may require dropping the fuel tank to remove it without doing damage to the sticker. Short of that all you can do is try and find past owners to see if they may still have documentation. Both are long shots. I was able to find and remove the tanker sticker off my 70 but it was almost impossible to read.
