Does a LS2 engine fit in a C5?

As far I know, a LS1 and a LS2 engine are the same, so a swap is easy. Is this true????

Hi there,
The basic layout is similar, but the blocks are very different.
Computer integration is almost impossible unless you attempt a retrofit. It will not be easy.

I thought it would be nice to put the new Z06 427 cid into a C5, but I think it is cheaper to rebuild the stock LS1 engine into a 427 cid by Lingenfelter I think.
