Does the TSB on LS1 detonation also apply to the LS6?

Anybody know? I've run a can of 12345515 through it, but the ping is still there in the typical operating ranges.

I haven't washed the engine (referred to in the tsb).

TIA.

HI there,
The TSB only applies if there is a knock sensor code accompanying this knock.
I would run one more can of 12345515 through it first, and then see how you do.

Thanks for the reply, c4c5specialist.

I put one can a couple of weeks ago, so I'll wait the recommended 6 months and try again.

So far there have been no codes. The detonation is mild and noticeable only under light throttle at this point. Otherwise, the car appears to be running normally. It's possible I may be misidentifying a sound, of course, but I don't think so.

I've been using premium Shell, Amoco and Mobil indiscriminately, fwiw.
