Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Does this seem excessive?

Seems like a lot to me, guess I better forget fixing up an old midyear!

I have never priced one?
I dont think anyone is reproducing the factory style BB
rear bar set up, so maybe if you need it, you need it?
I remember how happy I was to find a NOS fuel filter
for under $250.00 (not a funky adapted sm blk unit)
Just for fun you should try and locate the above 2 parts.
Sometimes its quite tricky........

OUT OF SIGHT!!!!

After market replacement sway bars for a 65 are about $115 from Corvette Central. I've bought a lot of parts from them over the past few years for my 65. Check them out at www.corvettecentral.com and get a free catalog.

Yes, its a rear sway bar.
No, its not the same.
If you were restoring a 65-67 BB
The CC "Addco" would stand out as after market.
(Yes I have used that co. they make fine low priced sway bar's)
(As well as many others)
To some it wouldn't matter.
To others (like the E-bay buyer) it would..........
I am not justifying it, I just know what its like
tracking down certain orig. parts.

I was just wonderin'. Seemed like a lot but then I thought the rear sway bars were the same right thru til the C3's. I guess they'll fit and work the same but are different.

So - what you guys are saying - is that I should pull the original sway bar out of my 66, to sell it and install a repop?

Make me an offer I can't refuse..............and I'l tell you if the repop changes the handling (which is perfect now).
