My suggestion is you go to your local bookstore and purchase a "Corvette Black Book" a handy pocket-sized paperback that covers all the years. Great reference guide, covering paint and interior options, and identifies engines, carbs, distributors and alternators as well. I think it's about $23. Money well spent.
Unfortunately, I am deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica or I would provide you the ISBN so you could order one if not in stock. Maybe someone else can help here.

The Corvette Black Book is an excellent choice. You can also check the top of the page under "TECH CENTER" then to the "MODEL CENTER" and find the RPO's for your car.. Here is a Quick Link to 1972 Model Year For the RPO's look in the Production and Performance Section
