My 95' has a slight door(s) leak and I don't think it's the window gasket or the window needing adjustment.I can see on the door panels about 6 inches or so from the front of the door panel where water has been running down the side of the pane and ending up on the front of the door sill is where I find water.I believe it's the door gasket? The problem is I can't see it to tell with the door closed.
Anyone experience this?

Thanx

Yeah, they do that allot!! C3's and C5's too!! I usually shim them tighter by putting a little foam tape under them with a little sealant neatly down the sides to keep the water from running under them then!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

Do you mean put something under the door weathestripping to make things tighter?

Yep!!:thumb
Don't take much!!:thumb:thumb
Then make sure to seal it under the WS so water won't run under it!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

BTW: You have some Nice Cars on your Web. I also am a Fan of ASX's.

It looks like it's running down the Plastic Facia directly beside the Weatherstrip.Like Could the top be leaking and it's running down till it gets to the seem then on the Door Sill??.I might have to send Pictures of what I mean.

Yeah,Thats purdy possible too!!:thumbFactory used some white, runny, sticky, gooey, Dum,Dum stuff under the W/S retainers that sometimes either runs out from heat and leaves gaps or dries out and leaves gaps for the water to run under it!!:thumb
What a messy mess to clean up!:hb:hb:hb

A New Development..Going home yesterday I noticed the Top right over my head was Creaking alot..I mean every time I turned especially. ..Like it was loose So I checked the bolt and it was tight We'll when I turned up the curb in my driveway and as the body flexed I put my hand on the edge of the top and felt movement just like it wasn't tight but the bolt is bottomed out.Could this be the source of my leak?I'm gonna take it off tomorrow and see if any of the retainer bolts are loose.

Your Top is de-laminating,You'll need to fix it before it comes completely Loose!!:thumb:thumb:thumb Lt4man and Paul Higg are getting purdy good at this type of thing!!:L:L:L Call me,I'll tell you what to do to fix it before it cracks the lexan!! Toll Free 877-677-2984 ext 1,2 or 5 :thumb

What junk says is true. These darn tops have so little adhesive holding the plastic on to the frame. The bean counter at GM who authorized the use of so little material should lose his job! Maybe he has already! :rotfl

AFTER REGLUING YOUR TOP, BE SURE TO SAVE THE :w!

While I'm thinking about it,You need to remove the top and make sure that the mounting plates are tight!:thumb If there a little loose they will creak and leak water!!:thumb

With all this talk about leaking water, I have to wonder...You guys actually drive yours in the rain? I avoid it like the plague, if at all possible. My Ruby is too nice to see rain, although it has, always ticks me off. BIG TIME!!! Only good thing that comes out of it is that it always comes out cleaner than before b/c I find new places to clean.

When do tops start to do this or is it just random. My Ruby has 51K on her. Still nice and tight as far as I can tell. Creaks some when I get on side to side angle situations like my driveway, but not much.

They ain't sugar,They won't melt!!:L:L:L
I've run on to the bolts in the plates working loose once in a while, this usually makes them Creaky, but usually they have to really loose to leak much water!!
As far as de-lamination,it happens occasionally on the older cars,I've repaired probly 30-40 of them through the years!!
But in the last year,I've had 4 Brand New Genuine GM Tops de-laminate!!:hb I finely just repaired the last one and it's has been on the customers car now for about 7-8 months without a problem!:thumb
Paul Higg a member of this forum, has had 3 Brand New Genuine GM tops de-laminate in the last 2 months, the dealer that done the work just finely gave him his $$$$ back and he is repairing it himself as per my instructions!:thumb:thumb:thumb

Junkie....you da man! :thumb

Sweet, if I ever have that problem I know the guy to call on. Thanks.

Oh, boy oh boy! Leaks NOTHING like it will after the top flies off! :boogie

AFTER FIXING YOUR TOP, PLEASE BE SURE TO SAVE THE :w!

I need to seal up the A pillar weatherstrip retaining as water is getting in and leaking out the bottom of the A pillar trim, and leaking on the Windlace.

How do you get the A pillar trim off? A while back I tried, but couldn't get it off. I removed all the screws, removed the screws for the windshield top trim, removed the rearview mirror, remove the Targa top, removed the two Targa top plastic things. Still couldn't get the A pillar or top windshield trim off. Whats the secret?

I believe it's fixed. No more creaking. That 3M stuff is Fantastic.
A Special thanx to GMjunkie.Couldna dunnit without your helpand the support of all others..I'll let you know if my Leak is better.

I don't think my leak is any better. I just can't figure our where it's coming from.Leals down from the top on the inside of the plastic facia that's right up against the windshield pillow weatherstrip and then runs out the crack and onto the front of the door sill??
Crazy ??

Any Ideas?
