73 350 coupe
hello,

on my 73 the door courtesy switch sometime worked, i put in 2 new switches,1 on the right side 1 wire connection, left side had 1wire on & 1 think1 off, my question is does the left side have 2 wires or 1 like the right side.it has 2 wires going to to left.the car sat for 10 yrs. everything touched falls apart.

Tom, I'll move this to the Shark forum where it'll get better exposure. ;)
 
Drivers has two wires, passenger has one.

Drivers side needs need wires, one for the light circuit, the other for the key buzzer. They both work the same way. when door is closed, the pin holds to contactor apart ( open circuit ). When the door is opened, the contactors contact each other, closing the circuit, and always the current to go to ground. Thus lights go on and key buzzer sounds, assuming key is in ignition.
