Everytime I shut the doors after washing the car, the water splashes down the side and I have to get my chamois out again. Has anyone drilled a hole in the mirror housing to drain water? I had my drill in hand and realized the motor and wires are back there somewhere and I wondered if it would make a whistling noise if I did it.

Thanks,
Chetzki

Not a good idea. I use the "leaf blower" attachment off my shop vac or sometimes I use the attachment on my air compressor, whichever is easier at the moment.

The best way I have found to do it is open and shut the doors firmly before starting the drying process. Most of it will come out. But what I love is when you think you got it all out, but when you go for a ride the wind blows it all over the side of the car.

Yes, that is what i do shut the doors three or four times, then I will usually let it sit for about a half hour then that usually does the trick.

I use my leaf blower to get air out of all the different pockets around the car. The mirror housings, around the rear window, license plate area, pockets around the side mouldings, wheels, and wherever water will hide.

The neighbors look at me kinda funny but it works for me!!

Haven't thought about the leaf blower. I'll try that. The steepest hills in our county are overpasses!:L

Thanks,
