drove mine to work today, its raining too,and had a 50th c5 wave to me too.

Well the 12:00 Thunderstorm is here now. At least I got to drive with the top down on the way in!!:Steer Well gotta go fit the pontoons to it for the drive home--now what did I do with the Mercury outboard??:cry

Randy

It is and continues to POUR in the Peoples Republic of MD almost to the point of being ridiculous. I've had to drive the '81 as a daily driver for the last month while my son was borrowing the Grand Am. I got my car back last night and considering the weather, the Vette is tucked comfortably back in the garage, although somewhat filthy. The first day it doesn't rain (I won't be holding my breath for this day) I'll belatedly drive her in (WITH the tops OUT!!!) I really wish I could have. I envy all you guys and gals that have a beautiful day today.

Enjoy.................... Nut :D

I should have known... I had an irrigation system installed last June. So now that I spent the bucks, I don't have to use it. Yea, it is all my fault!:L

You should have bought a ZR-1 then you would have a Mercury InBoard :crazy

It's still 85 and sunny here and no smog. The shakers are like an "E" ticket ride at Disney Land and the vette gets us away from the drivebys quickly and we can also outrun the fires...

Gang drive-bys only occur in South Central Los Angeles and a couple of bad inner-city areas near the big cities. They happen there and they stay there. Let the bastards kill each other off I say. Riots only occur when a young black man gets beat up and/or shot wrongly and the cops who did it get away. Again, it happens in inner-cities. Haven't had an earth quake since I can't even remember. Drought? What drought? Okay. The brush fires are a constant threat especially during summer. It's actually a naturally occuring event that the chaparral environment NEEDS to thrive. It's only a problem when people just don't get it and so they keep building their homes up on hills surrounded by forest!

99.9% of the time, living in California is very, very nice. The weather. The scenic roads. The friendly people. And if you're away from the high elevations, no snow year round. Just a tad of rain. :)

Didn't drive my 'Vette today since it's just getting finished up at the body shop!

Rogue, no offense, but; ain't been to California, and not too sure I wanna visit. Had a sis-in-law, lived in L.A.; said she was scared to pass thru a neighborhood just 6 blocks away. Had to keep bars in the windows, for 'safety'. Once, I thought about attending the Drag Racing school @ the L.A. Fairplex. The school tried 'selling' me on the fact that I could "fly-in and fly-out; spend your nights here at the fair-grounds, and you won't get involved in a drive-by shooting" :eek And THAT was a 'SELLING POINT'??? Here, it rains, it snows, there is no jobs, but I'm not shot over a pair of shoes, or because I wear a certain color T-shirt. Just my $.02 worth.... btw; it didn't rain yesterday; I got my Vette out for a few hours last night!!!:D Of course, it IS raining today, tomorrow, Monday,........

We from sunny Calif are all having fun and kidding around with the forum.
You should not judge all of Calif by a few small areas within the state. Remember, Calif is almost as big as the entire East Coast. We on the left coast don't judge MA. or PA. by what goes on in Florida which is about the same distance from LA to Northern Calif. I was in Long Island for about two years and had a great time even thou it was very close to NYC and all of the horror stories everyone hears. Just my .02 on a SUNNY 87 DEGREES day in Calif. Gota go and drive the you know what......:beer :w :Twist :_rock ;shrug ;worship :v :Steer

.........I've posted a few early pics of DYCTWD at Forest Park in St. Louis at www.countdownto50.com

Mid America would like to thank all those who participated, wherever they may be!

Cheers!
Ed
