Weird problem seemed to occur out of nowhere. My drivers seat no longer tilts forward. The outside hinge seems to be stuck somehow. Any suggestions as to how I should approach this?!

Thanks as always!

Hey Ludigdrums
Not an expert, but would tackle in order as below
1 Obstructions
2 Electrics
3 Lubrication
4 Drive Cables
5 Motor Gears.
Apart from that I'm stumped too!
Anyone else?

Jeremy,
I've had the same problem with the pass seat from time to time, I just rattle the hell out of it. I don't know what causes it, but it seems like one hinge gets obstructed somehow. Just don't break anything plastic!

You'll need a small stick or piece of steel wire, what you do is poke in the upper side of the hinge, through the hole where you see the locking tab. One of my seats constantly locks up like that and it's the only way to get it down. The problem is that the crash protection that locks up the seat hangs up.

Thanks, I will definately try this tomorrow.

I'll let you know how it goes!
