I hear alot of ways to disable the DRL's on the C5 (by pulling relays and certain features don't work...etc.). Mine are really starting to agitate me also. I have come to conclusion of this is the way I will do this. So, I have two quick questions. (In case I am missing something)

Why don't we just unplug the lights and seal off the connectors with grease or tape?

Why not remove the bulb and hit it with higher DC volts to burn it out and then reinstall? Or install 2 burned out lamps.

These questions have baffled me for a long time.

The more I think about it the 2nd question could make me some money on EBAY!:L

Tell me why you're agitated with the DRLs. I don't have a C5 so call me ignorant. :(

I can't stand them anymore. They were OK at first but now,:(.

It's a personality thing!:_rock

Does it just bother you just knowing they are on? Do you think it detracts from the appearance?

And BTW - - - W'04!

I think it is just gay! IMHO.

The novelty has worn off and its time for a change. To put it another way, I am like a racoon that doesn't like to eat crawfish everyday....Ocassionnaly I'll go for that shiney object!

If that makes any sense?

Alright, I give up. What's a DRL? I admit it...I'm an idiot...;shrug

Just figured it out...Daytime Running Light...one of the stupidest ideas GM ever came up with.:D

I like'em................:D :w :beer :cool

if you can't see them . . . you can turn them off by pulling on the emergency brake (one click . . . with the motor running). You will have turned them off. Get out of the car and go take a look

I wouldn't put in two blown bulbs. I just had to replace one of my DRL bulbs. The reason? The turn signal uses the DRL as well. When the DRL bulb was out, the signal flashed very quickly, and only the rear signal worked. So, I wouldn't try to disable those lamps with blown bulbs or disconnecting the wiring-- you won't have any front turn signals...

As for the DRL concept, I don't mind it myself. Actually, it helps me spot other C5s. If I see DRLs off in the distance that are widely spaced and low to the ground, I know there's a good chance I'm looking at a C5 coming at me... :w
