Hi everyone! I am new to the corvette world, besides the family affiliation (04'GTO, 03'Vette), and im looking forward to ordering my C6 DSOM within the next 6 months, but have had a hard time deciding what interrior color would look best with DSOM.. Tan or Ebony.... and should i go with stock wheels or the polished? Thanks and BTW my name is MIke.

JMHO, I really like the tan interior on DSOM, but I think the darker colors wear longer without showing discoloration, stains, Ect..

Hey Mike,

Welcome to the CAC. DSOM is a great color. I would have to see both interiors side by side. It's a close call, but I think tan would look better.

Tammy

I'm a big fan of DSOM also. Like Tammy says, it's a close call on interior color. I'd have to lean towards the tan myself.

Also, I'd go with the polished wheels, they'll look great with DSOM.

Good luck!!!

Chris

Hey! Thanks for all the quick replies! Im used to the MR2 forums where nobody replies for a few days.
I am waiting 6 months before i place my order and save up, and get my monthly payments lower. Also waiting for chevy to drop their apr... :)
The only options that have been on my mind are the seats, rims, and wether i should get XM or not.... This car, when i get it, will be driven alot. So i fear the Tan leather, which i like, will wear and get dirty faster than black. BUT THE TAN IS SOO NICE... ~Mike

Here is a pic on me in a DSOM with Tan interrior....

IMHO I think the ebony interior kicks @ss with DSOM. :_rock It blends better with the dash and door panels. I got the polished wheels. Love them. Before you decide on XM check out where they put the antenna. Many people that have got it didn't like the location of it. :ugh Good luck. :D

I have the Ebony interior and I love it. It will be a little warm in the summer here in Vegas but what the hell.

Good thinkin about the XM... I don't really need it but was curious if i woud be better off just getting it instead of regreting it.. Arent the antenna's black? That would bother me. I have always had a black interrior, on my Mr2, so im used to black and its does get quite warm in the summer but who cares, it will cool off once i hit the highway!

I voted Ebony. As stated earlier, I think the darker colors wear better. DSOM is my favorite C6 color. I have a mental immage of a DSOM C6 Z, with tinted windows and black wheels. Like this, but DSOM...

haha... i can imagine... i absolutely love DSOM... i think tinted windows would be nice, i had them on my mr2.... Tint can make or break a car :)

OH *BTW*... I had the opportunity to make it to the NY International Auto Show this past monday, it was amazing and i have ALOT of pics. So if any of you are interested, let me know what cars you want to see and ill post the pics i took. ~Mike

I just ordered mine with the DSOM. I went back and forth for a while on the interior color too, but finally decided on the Tan. As for the wheels, I went for the new competition grays thinking they would cool with my blacked-out windows. Also, I said no to the XM radio. That black wart they call an antenna should have been a more integral part of the car like the regular antenna is.

Just my thoughts. . . I CANT WAIT TO GET MINE!

Hey scrambler85, congrats on the order... Can you take a few pics and post them when you get the car? I would really like to see how that combination turns out.. :)

COOL! That confirms my tan vote.

Check out the guy standing behind the car. I can almost see one of those little thought baloons over his head... "How in the hell am I going to convince my wife that I simply MUST have this car..." :L

Post any pics from the auto show that you think are cool. You should start a thread in the Other Cars and Automotive Forums.

And if I don't stop looking at this thread, I'm going to be like the guy standing there scratching his head, trying to figure out how to get into one of these DSOM C6's.

I will. Believe me, I'll be posting pictures everywhere when I finally get it. I hope to get a build date soon. I have about 5-6 mods already picked out too! I'll keep you all posted.

I love the DSOM that would be my choice. As for the interior both Ebony and Cashmere are nice but I would go with the Ebony. I think the Ebony is more "sportier" and the Cashmere is more "elegant" but would show dirt and wear more. I too like the polished wheels as for the XM and On-Star I would pass.

The factory polish I saw on many C-6s, including the one I had, cost more and looked worse than any aftermarket polish job I have seen.

I'll never own a tan interior. mike

Ive heard that before from my local dealership regarding the quality of the polished C6 wheels in comparison to the polished C5 wheels... why is that?

I saw a new C6 coupe today "up close" that was DSOM with ebony interior. The owner had purchased it yesterday and it was the first DSOM that I had seen. The car was beautiful and if I ordered a C6, it would be the color combination I would want.

I saw a C6 DSOM vert at the assembly plant today, with the cashmere interior. It was pefect. The combination was even better than I had thought from the photos.

And so the debate rages on. Its a dead heat.
