Dynaspark users please chime in

I would like to hear from you guys who have Dynaspark units in your 'Vette what is your experience?
Have any failed and if so why?
Did you notice any improvement when installed?
How many miles do you have on yours?

Im not a user but Ive been on their web site a milion times since mine started acting up and Ive probably had a million questions on here since to so hopefully someone will chime in. Im about to take the dive anyway and order one, If I do Ill let you know, looks like a quality item and definately better then factory.

I don't have one (yet) either but just the fact that you can wash down the engine is a major buying point for me. I'm used to high pressure washing/degreasing my cars and, of course, I am unable to do that w/ my LT4.

well, I just got off the phone with DTE dynaspark and ordered a Gen I for my 94'. Its dead in the water so I had to do something with it. Now I still need to get the Gm water pump and all the gaskets. Im thinking about the wires as well but its only got 29k miles so not sure yet on that one, cant wait to get it going again though, its been sitting for to long and Im having withdrawls. Ive never done anything this major to it myself yet so Im still a little nervous about tackling it but step one, getting the parts is almost done. Anybody want to volunteer to help put it together?

I would go ahead and get the wires. They are 10-11 years old now and are probably beginning to break down inside. At any rate, you are going to have it all apart anyway, so I would go ahead and change plugs, wires, fuel filter, PCV Valve, air filter, etc. just to insure that you don't have to do it again anytime soon. The sum of all of those parts shouldn't be more than $150 for AC Delco original equipment. Just my $.02.

I agree, have you or anyone else on here used Gmparts direct or other gm online part source? I was wondering if it was any cheaper then going to the dealer and getting the parts.

I've always had good service from my local Advance Auto Parts. Most tru Vet parts are PDQ, however most are just GM parts that show up on other cars....but I have always got them cheaper than from the local dealership, unless it is a $100 dollar or more part, then I get my uncle to get it with his employee discount.

ok, I found a water pump for $146.00 at gmparts direct, a far cry from the $293.00 the dealer wanted. The only other place I checed other then mid america which is $199.00 is the last detail, there's are $172.00. Ill chime back in when the Dynaspark gets here, should be tomorrow or Monday. Still waiting on volunteers to help get these parts on...:L

Guess Dynaspark is gonna go out of business since there is no one here willing to post on this thread. I guess it means no one is using them. C'mon guys lets get some feed back here.

They're still in business, I just got home and found the box and Im opening it now....opening the paking slip.......$613.00 to my door......now the box....bilet aluminum in red, two vacuum hoses, one small diameter and one larger one with the check valve already installed, Very nice part, looks like a quality part, better in person then it did in the pictures. I hope all of you guys are online when I try to put this one along with the water pump, Im ordering it from GMpartsdirect.com, they just emailed me with the correct part numbers for the pump and thermostat and o ring. Probably wont be in till next week.
