Dynomax Mufflers

Many told me to get Muffler-eliminators instead.

Muffler elims will be very quiet at cruise and not have resonance problems that some mufflers have. At full throttle acceleration, they are loud but not inside the car.

One thing you can try is to remove the mufflers altogether and simply have a piece of pipe installed in place of them. Use any tip you wish. The cost should not be over $75 to have done at any muffler shop.

Eckler's is pretty pricey and you can probably get a better deal from some of the other catalogs or simply going to a large chain muffler shop that carries Walker Dynomax products.

One of the best on the market. No obnoxious tin can Mustang and Camaro sound and excellent with HP. A direct fit that helps eliminate rattles and funky hangers on any exhaust that is 2 1/2 inlet but can also be easily adapted to any other Vette from 84. A piece of cake for a good muffler shop. A buck fifty is a little high however, check with your local auto parts stores that handle Walker exhaust, I`m sure they will give you a break where mail order and so called discount chains like to stab it to you.
PS, I do have them on my 84.:D

A number of yrs ago I replaced a stock muffler with the dynamax muffler on an 83 tornado with a HP 307, if you can call that HP .;LOL I noticed a marked imporvment in passing speeds and increased gas milage of over 1 mpg. I am sure about the mileage cause I keep close track of what goes into my cars.

Well, a (stock) '90 Corvette w/6 speed is listed at a whooping 250 hp! :eek

olds HP 307 cubic in. HP for High Preformance , 4 barrel instead of 2 barrel carb. ;) But yep a whopping 250 hp my 98 Riv with 3800 was rated at 245 hp but had to pull about 1300 lbs more.

hummm..... it is a convert,, so only 245 hp I think

I ask because I'm looking into replace the flowmasters in my 95. They are LOUD, driving on the freeway at 65-70 I can't have a conversation and I wonder if these Dynomax are quieter.

Just a very small amount of throaty rumble. I wouldn't say loud at all.

I have that set of those, but I eliminated the resonator and installed a Dr. Gas X crossover. I have zero resonance( with 2.56 gear set) and it seems to get more mid range with this set up.
At the strip my wife says the exhast note is aggresive and sound good.
