Possible but a lot of money for and 81.

I saw a 76 Pace car last year with less than 500 miles on it offered for 20K. Legit car.

All depends on how well he stored it and whyexterior looks good, and according to him the mechanics work.
Overall looks amazing and i've seen cars with more problems and more miles go for about the same.
The question is, do you intend to drive it like you just bought it new or keep it in its petrified state?
I wouldn't spring for it because i'd feel bad driving it, and i dont have the money for a 1:1 scale model that will sit in my garage.
Im surprised he hasn't had it NCRS'ed. It would add credibilty to all his claims and make it much easier to sell.

i live on long island (although he could be up to 2 hours away) I'd offer to go look at it but my eyes wont help you too much. Maybe i should go anyway to see a brand new old vette
