ECM code diagnosis question

Whilst trying to resolve what I believe to be a fuel circuit low voltage problem, I thought I'd try reading the ECM trouble codes.

Following the Chilton's guide, I connected A and B on the ALDL, turned the ignition to ON and waited for the SES or Check Engine light to flash - it didn't.

Is this an indication that the fuel pump circuit voltage is likely to be the least of my problems? Have I got an ECM problem.

Hope someone has some info.

Thanks.

Did the light light up at all?

You might just have a bad bulb...

Without the jumper when you first fire the car up does the Check engine light ...light then?

Are you sure you have the right pins jumped. :duh
That plug is really hard to see. When ever I go under my dash I get vertigo.
I usually pull the screw (7mm head) that holds the plug in the hush shield and pull the plug out to a more visible spot. My 90 has about 18 inches of wire so I can see the plug while sitting in the driver’s seat. When my airbag (SIR) was acting up I had the plug duct taped to the side of the console for a few weeks. :Steer
