I AM Looking at buying a set of Edelbrock performer IAS shocks for my baby. I was wondering if anyone has used them or heard any stories about them whether it is good or bad i would like to hear all.

Don't have 'em on my Vette, but I got 'em on my truck, and I like 'em. :upthumbs

I have them on my '71. Very happy with them. The ride is real nice and handling is great too. Seems they work as advertised. Soft on bumpy roads, and firm up when cornering on smooth roads.

zwede,
did you change your leaf spring when you put them on your '71? Because i want to do it all at one time but money won't allow me to.

I'm running a later model steel spring. Somewhere around 78 or so they started using a wider steel spring and that is what I have. Better ride than the earlier steel spring.

The IAS shocks will work fine with a steel spring. Don't know how they work with fiberglass springs. I gave up on fiberglass springs after I tried 3 of them. Car bounced like crazy in the rear and I tried different shocks. Went back to steel and like the ride much better.

thanks for the info i was looking at fiberglass springs but will stay with stock.
