engine stamp

My V.I.N number is 1Z37K2S522324 and on my block it says 1ZS522324 and V0412CKW are these engine stamp codes correct it's a 1972 corvette , thanks Pat.........

Assuming it's not a restamp, that's the correct and original stamping for your car. Engine is a base 200 hp 4 speed built April 12 in Flint MI.

K in the VIN also means base engine. :thumb

That's correct - the machine code on the inboard end of the pad was stamped at the Flint V-8 Engine Plant, and the VIN derivative stamp on the outboard end of the pad was stamped at St. Louis, in a smaller font, when the car was built. :)

Yes but I saw the number on another car and they were 1/8 size on the left and 3/16 on the right so which size i correct,Thanks pat

Or maybe my car is a restamp I have had it for 5 years and now I am going to sell it and if the numbers are not the right size or someone has restamped it then i can't sell it as a numbers matching ,I can't seem to get a hold of the last owner so i just hope they are the right size and original so i can get what I paid for it ..thanks again Pat

stamp

can someone tell me what size the stamp is supposed to be on a 1972 corvette, small on the left and larger on the right is it 1/8 and 3/16 or maybe 3/16 and 1/4 someone has stamped my car and I would like to know if it is atleast the right size and if it is then it might be original because everything else on the car is correct,Thanks Pat
