The EGR valve on my 85 L98 has a temperature switch that screws into the base of the valve. Looks like the terminal on the switch has corroded and fallen off ... :cry . Can barely see the problem under the plenum ...... grrrrrr!!!!
Most systems use coolant temperature to make sure the valve doesn't open with a cold engine.
What's the purpose of this switch?
Ron ... :confused
