electric windows

My electric windows ran very slow. Left side was jammed up.
I replaced a broken bracket on the regulator on left side.
Cleaned all old grease and dirt from regulator as well as replacing a broken roller.

It still runs very slow. In addition I am having trouble adjusting the inboard/ outboard pitch. (It wants to run up, into the weather stripping so I have to figure out how to adjust it outward)

The motor seems to run fine. Does any one know? Would a new motor have more balls to push it up faster? Maybe I should start by replacing the spring?

Anybody have experience with this?

Does the window go down fast and go up slow? If so it's probably a broken spring, that big pain in the butt coiled up one that you can see when removing the door panel. Mine has been like that for a while, too lazy to fix it....one of these days.

HOWDY 'ALL , i have the same fast down slow up also. i have checked the spring. i cannot find any cracks in the spring. no busted peices. could it have possibly lost tension? or do they just break instead?

I wonder the same. My spring does not appear to be broken.
The spring is worth $25 but the motor will cost you over $100.
you could always return the spring if it didn't change the performance.

Not sure if it may be a weak spring, mine actually broke. Just driving along one day and I hear a loud bang so I pulled over as I thought something hit the door, could find no damage so I just went about my business. When I took off the door panel the spring was laying in the bottom. I suppose it is possible, other types of springs lose tension over time...and it's cheaper than replacing a motor.
