1991 convert
Hello everyone,

Could use a little help on this one; I have a 1991 Corvette Convert 5.7 (vin 8 ) This is an intermittent problem, I get "SYS" followed by service engine and the speedometer stays at 0. When I pull the codes I get a 14 Coolant sensor is too high , 42 elec spark timing monitor error, and a 45 oxygen sensor rich. Shut off the car re-start problem goes away - some times it comes back soon, other times not at all.
I have been able duplicate while parked in the garage so I do not think it is a vibration issue. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Thanks,

joej

I would start by, dis-assembling and clean up the cluster of ground wire connectors on the bottom left of the bell housing and the surfaces they ground to. There's also a braided ground that goes to the frame there too. Clean it up. Many intermittent issues are caused by these culprits. Clear the codes and try it again.

Thank You Sir - I will give that a try and let you know what I find.
