On our way home today from a family reunion, I went to put the LS window down and found it wasn't working. It was working just a few minutes before it stopped.

Using the door pad switches, I found that I was unable to get either window up or down, there was no lock or unlock feature working, and the memory switches weren't working, either. I didn't try the mirrors, but suspect they are in-op too. I had to manually flip the door lock to open the door. As a note, the FOB works the RS lock and unlock, and my wife can use the RS window switch and lock/unlock to open her side of the car.

Suggestions as to where to start?

I was told that this issue is usually caused by the harness connectors...the body side harness and the door side harness. I've had this issue since last fall with my '04. Sometimes everything works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't figured out how to take the door panel off without breaking anything, so I'm confident mine will be like this for as long as I have it. Good luck.

Just before hitting the sheets last night, I wiggled the molded rubber which protects the body to door wiring and found intermittant power coming to the door switch pad...

Apparently I have a bad wire or faulty connector. I'm hoping it's not an expensive repair like a power module would be. Will let all know as today unfolds with the troubleshooting.

Thanks!

OK, first start by checking Fuses 33 and 34 in the I/P fuse box.

Next pull your DIC codes and post them.

You may have a problem with the door pillar connection. Here is a link on it. If you end up needing to go into the door I will provide guidance on removing the panel. Review this link and let us know if you have any questions.

My C5 dash has gone nuts and I have every message there is!!! - Corvette Forum

Just pull the accordion boot back from the A-pillar to access the connector. If you jiggle if first and it corrects your issue then you are on the right track.

Keep us posted on your progress. Mr.Sam

You posted the update while I was getting coffee. Use that link I sent and let me now if you have any questions. You are on the right track.
