'02 C5 Z06 has been having random electrical messages and now the drivers door panel and door lock does not work as well as the easy entry feature. Battery checks out fine. Could these issues be the grounds or....?

Have you checked to see what if any codes are showing up? Pulling codes on a C5 And can you post them here?

BTW - welcome to the Corvette Action Center!

It sounds SOMEWHAT similar to your situation BUT the difference seems to be that his was throwing codes and yours isn't. ;shrug

couple of things come to mind, the first being low bus voltage but if the battery is good you can pass on that. I had an ongoing problem with right door electrics; window and locks wouldn't work using controls from either door. The right door module was changed 5 times over a period of years until a new one didn't solve the problem. Then the trouble shooting finally began and they found one of the thin wires that runs from inside the car to the door looked fine, but evidently had a break inside. Everytime they worked on door, the wire got pulled straight and made contact, after opening and closing door over time, the contact would diminish until it would fail.

One time it was the main BCM that failed, got random lights showing, gauges went to extremes, DIC flashed all kinds of messages but the car ran fine.

Just a couple of things to consider.

turns out it may be the ground wire in the harness in the door. The two ground wires are not covered and may contact something to create a short. The solution may be to coat the bare ground wires to insulate them. Once I pulled the harness and moved the wire so not to make contact all seems fine.
