Hello and thank you for all who has welcomed me here, I have couple issues with my 84 I need some help with. First the blower fan iss barely putting anything out. second is the bose radio works when ever it feels like it unless you smack the lower knee pad on the passenger side a few times then it will kick on. with that said I have reched up under there (not alot of fun!) and felt what seems to be a box. As soon as I have my hand on it it will work. Any help to figure these problems out would be greatly appreciated!:beer

As with most things 27 yrs old, stuff gets dirty.

Pull the bezel off and then the 4 screws that mount the radio unit. Gently pull it out until you can disconnect the plugs and the antenna. Chances are that the antenna cable is corroded and not making good contact. Same for the main plug...These things seem to come up with some strange behaviors and if they cleaning won;t fix it, its got to be either replaced or repaired. The Bose rebuild ain;t real cheap either...
But, to swap in a different radio you also have to do speakers since the Bose has amps in each speaker.

If the a/c blower is not running fast, make sure by listening to it under the hood. If the motor is barely running the high blower relay may be bad or the Blower control module (BCM) if its the electronic a/c . Test it by running a jumper wire 12v to the motor. If it spins fast, the problem is in the control. If it spins slow like it has been, the motor is failing.
