Just out of curiousity... there's an off chance that I may convert the ignition to a multi-coil system at some point in the distant future, when performance might demand it.

The distributor would need to be removed, but I know that the distributor interfaces with the oiling system, so I doubt it's as simple as just leaving the distributor out.

So, is there some particular technique to eliminate the distributor?

Summit has 'em. ;)

Thanks, that looks like it. I guess the one with the gear is for mechanical-drive tachometers?

The top one Joe, is a plug for use if you have an alternate method for oiling, that is, a dry sump system, while the bottom one has a brass (Bronze? I can never get those straight. :L) gear for the in-pan oil pump drive from the cam. ;)
