Emblem adhesive?

The '76 in resto finally has her paint and I'm in the process of reattaching the front side fender "Stingray" emblems.

They had a black substance on them when I pulled them off over a year ago. It was something between silicone and some type of gasket.

What type of adhesive should I use for reattaching these emblems?

its back to back tape you can find it at paint stores
