I just replaced brake lines, drums, rotors and emergecy brakes on my 1969 Corvette. Its a convertible 350/300HP. When it is up on jacks, emergency brakes works fine. I pull brake handle and it only goes aways back and back tires can't be moved when in nuetral.

When I place it on the ground it does not work? Pulls up all the way but does not hold car. I am confused? Maybe it is the Y cable that needs adjusment?

Hope someone can help..

Thanks Much

They may have to wear in a bit--might be some oil and stuff on the drums--try driving a bit with the E Brake on--just a few blocks. You also may want to tension it a bit more if driving it dosen't work.

WHen it is up on the lift, the cables are tighter than when the wheels are on the ground under full weight. You need to tighten up the cable with the full weight on the rear.

Thanks I will try it...
