Energetic Danica adds spice to NASCAR with strong Daytona debut

As much as I'm a Danica fan and would love to see her become a top driver in nascar, I'm with jrose on this one, she's going to have to do better than this weekends performance to show me something real. She did do a hell of a job controlling the car through the infield, but other than just a couple of the older drivers who don't have the talent to compete in even the nationwide series, I see arca as a developmental series for drivers. If she can match this finish with another one like it in saturdays nationwide race, I'll be impressed.

It also made me sick that the announcers were comparing Bobby Gerharts 6 arca wins to Petty's 7 wins in the daytona 500 and saying he needs just one more to match him. 6 arca wins in my book don't even match winning the 500 once.

So what would you consider a good finish ?

... finishing on the lead-lap, with no other competitor trying to wring her neck (dead serious), would probably considered a 'good' finish by all involved

I haven't done the research but I'd look back at the rookies in Nationwide the last two years as a gauge .I'm betting all the rockies have had a hell of a lot more seat time than Danica.
