So finished the brakes and need to get her out of the garage to clean her and the garage up. Also need to check the brakes work! lol.

So, found 4 electrical connectors in the engine bay, all passenger side and wondered what they were and what they should be connected to. Cant remember if I disconnected any of them from around the air pump/diverter valve when I removed the valve as it was all burnt up.

So the black connector on the left is about 2 inches long and has a 2 pin connector.

Next we have a 2 pin plug which look as though it plugs in to the relay circled on the right.

The green one, IIRC something to do with the computer diagnostics?

And what about the relay connected to the vac lines?

Next question, the vac line that is 'T'd off of the relay, should that go to the open port on the front of the carb or somewhere else. I guess if somewhere else the port needs to be blocked.
Like this??

As the diverter valve was really badly burnt, Im guessing one of the check valves on the manifolds is broken. For now, can I simply cap them off without any issues? There appear to be 3 of them, 1 on drivers side and 2 on passenger.

Will check my AIM and workshop manual once back in the house, just thought Id ask to see if I got any hits before.
TIA.

I would keep looking around within the limits of the plugs, the should go somewhere.
Did you tale anything off that they could have plugged into???

I think the relay type of affair with the 2 pin plug came from when I took off the diverter valve.
The green plug, something to do with dwell?

The black connector, something to do with the EGR relays? I think I have something missing in that area. I have one relay type thing connected and IIRC it has a vac line to the EGR but on other peoples pics I see another red/orange relay in that area whic I appear to be missing.

Need to find out what the 2 relays do and if I can safely run without them.

The green connector is to hook up a dwell meter, and doesn't connect to anything when not in use.

I think the black connector hooks up to the diverter valve.
So, solenoid and 2 pin connector goes to diverter valve as does the black connector.
Green is dwell.

Sorted!
:)
