Hi all,
I know this is a long shot. I've been trying to find someone locally to degrease my engine and undercarriage. I have a '76 and I want to replace some seals etc.. but first I want to have the engine and undercarriage cleaned and degreased. This job is just to messy for my driveway besides the fact that it is winter. I 've tried just about all the local detail shops and some local garages but no one is willing to do this job. I'm hoping somebody from my area will see this post and give me a suggestion on who to contact. I'm in the Langhorne area of PA. I'm near Levittown, Bristol, Newtown etc.. Thanks for any help.

Do you have any carwashes by you, the kind that you pull into a bay and do it yourself? You might be able to get some of it, without being able to get the car in the air.

Go to a Harley Davidson dealer and get a product called "S100". Best engine cleaner I ever used. If the gunk on your car is really thick, get rid of the car. ;LOL

There's a detail shop that did mine that right off of route1 near Roosevelt Blvd. There work is outstanding. Email me and I 'll give you the info.

I've had good success with a strong mixture of Simple Green and water on a warm engine . . . .sometimes multiple applications are necessary and I've used a stiff brush or putty knife to get the really groady stuff folowed by a high pressure rinse.

In my experience it seems to work well and seems better than some of the petroleum-based solvents.

Regards-
