If I was to drop a valve (Exhaust Valve), would it sound like I have an exhaust leak? I have what appears to be coming frim the right rear Valve cover. I have replaced the heat riser valve, since I assumed that was where it is coming from. Did a visual on the manifold could not see or feel anything. The sound is more pronounced at idle, especially when you first put it in gear, plus the exhaust from the right side (where the sound is coming from is hotter than the left side). Thanks for being the middle mechanic

Any help would be great. I did install true dual exhaust from Mid America.

Did you remove or loosen the exhaust manifolds? Try re-torquing them down. When I had a similiar sound, the exhaust shop took a length of the flexible hose like you would use for bleedinng your brakes, had it attached to the end of clothese hanger and placed one end against various parts of the manifold and determined that I had an exhaust leak in the middle underneath on the right side.

Thanks Bob---will do that-I have been looking at the manifold, but not at the tightness
