I will try to answer a few of the questions.
1. The car was driven 1900 miles in the first 3 years, in the last year I have driven it over 4000
2. I do not know what the codes were after the original event. They said the reason it would not crank was because of plastic stuck in the throttle body? I know everything upstream of the mass air flow sensor was replaced.
3. After the car was fixed, it malfunctioned on the way home. I took it to the dealer the next day and it had a misfire code for cylinder #7. I do not know if other codes were present. I thought they might think I was nuts describing what happened on the way home and specifically asked if there were any misfire codes.
4.I did add a bottle of GM fuel system cleaner after the last episode.
Since last week I have driven several hundred miles without incident. I know it is not good but on numerous occasions I have run the car until their were less than 2 gallons in the tank so I don't think low fuel was the issue.
