corvette 1981
hello all,
i'am trying to repair a 1981 corvette.

i have a lot of problem.
when i turn on the ignition key, a noise appers like a "buzzer".
the lamp fasten seat belt is turn on , but the seat belt is close.

if i start the engine , it works good only during 4 second. retry again .. stanbr only during for second etc....

what is the solutions for this problem (carburator is clean).

thank' s for your help, the corvette lover.

In fact i have problem with the solenoide M/C, the shop manual says ECM fault.
is it possible to find a new ECM ?
do you know suppliers for that ?

thank you

I guess you don't have a NAPA in France, but you could try Napaonline.com

Are you using the 1981 Corvette Shop Manual from Chevrolet or some other shop manual?

Is the Check Engine light on?

The "solenoide M/C" is probably the M/C solenoid and "M/C" stands for mixture control solenoid. That's the solenoid that controls the primary metering rods and sets part throttle fuel mixture.

You may or may not need a new ECM. You also may or maynot need to replace the M/C solenoid.

Without additional information it's tough to say which.

But, regardless of what the problem is, in France it's going to be difficult to get parts. I'd make sure of your diagnosis before you order parts.
