Help! EQR Temperature Sensor

I need to replace the EQR Temperature Sensor on my '88. GM no longer produces this part and I can't find it. Someone told me that I may be able to buy the part for a newer model and improvise. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

I think you meant EGR temp sensor. When I replaced mine on my 1988, it stated years 1985-1989 on the instructions. I purchased it at Mid-America. You may want to check if they still have any inventory on this discountined part.

I have not been able to find a supply of new switches anywhere. The guys at Vette to Vette were able to provide a good used switch at a reasonable price.

That would be the valve itself;
he is after the temp switch that goes in the crossover pipe from exh manifold to intake.
